This collection was created thoughtfully until it formed a window into an imaginary but almost realistic world. Inspired by moments of light and places of serenity, my intention was to capture tranquility with soft warm colors.
The first part of the collection was formed in smooth oil paint, softly blended to create an atmosphere that blurs reality towards imaginary. This part of the collection is imagined, based loosely on real places but not using reference photos.
The second part of the collection is painted in acrylic. The crisp sharp contrast provides a more defined element of realism, and these pieces are based on reference photos. Together the paintings form a complete connection between reality and the imaginary. Finally each painting was titled poetically, like a gift wrapped in a bow, bringing the whole idea together.
